Our district calendar can be found on our website and will provide you with valuable information on school schedules, activities and events. You can also expect to receive a packet of information from your students’ school principal. Please take the time to review this information, especially the directions for supplying your contact information so that we can use our mass notification system to advise you of school closings, delayed openings and early dismissals.
In terms of initiatives, we are planning to continue extensive teacher training programs. We will be continuing teacher training activities in reading, writing skills and math areas. All of these teacher training efforts are provided to develop our skills in delivering instruction and are aimed at raising student achievement levels. Much of our professional development teacher training efforts are funded by federal grant monies. In addition, we will be continuing with our initiative regarding student well-being. Please check our district website
In closing, we hope that each of our families has enjoyed a happy, safe and healthy summer. We are excited to welcome back all of our school community members—students, teachers and parents—for what will be a productive, rewarding school year. Working together again as a school community, we can accomplish much to move our students forward in the 2017-2018 school year.
