AIM and CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS

Grades 3 and 4

Mrs. Maryanne Hanisch

I teach the AIM classes (Ability - Interest - Motivation) in the Aaron Decker School for grades 3 and 4. The criteria for participation in AIM are based on scores from the California Achievement Tests. AIM classes meet with me twice a week for 45-minutes periods, during which we explore a variety of subjects.

All students in the third and fourth grades have weekly Critical Thinking Skills classes with me as well. Thinking Skills include a wide range of activities designed to sharpen cognitive abilities, such as using deduction, imagination, and memory, as well as addressing problem solving strategies.
