National Honor Society Raises Money for the CJ Foundation for SIDS

Congratulations to the members of the Butler High School National Honor Society Chapter for completing their year-long initiative to raise funds for the CJ Foundation for SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). Last June, the officers and their adviser, Mr. Ryan Groeger, committed to their Big Steps for Baby Steps campaign, which also aimed to raise awareness of SIDS. Their aggressive calendar of fundraising events included partnerships with local businesses and many clubs and athletic teams at BHS.  The group’s effort culminated with a 5K and fun run for children, which took place on Saturday, May 28th. The event welcomed more than 125 runners and featured a course that toured the Borough of Butler. Thanks to all of their hard work and planning, the NHS students raised more than $13,000 for the CJ Foundation.
