Congratulations to BHS graduate Min Chen for being accepted to the New Jersey Medical School at Rutgers University. Min graduated as the Salutatorian of the Butler High School Class of 2012 prior to attending Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York. At Vassar, Min majored in Biology and participated in the Vassar Undergraduate Research Summer Institute. She also studied Functional Anatomy at the University of Glasgow in Scotland during the spring semester of her junior year. During her time in Glasgow, Min reviewed for her Medical College Admission Test (MCAT). Outside of the classroom, Min was active in the school community as a member of the Akido Club, Rugby Team, and served on the campus EMS Squad. Min attributes her success to her vigorous schedule at Butler High School, taking every honors and AP class that was offered. She was also a member of the BHS Cross Country and Track and Field teams which she feels challenged her both physically, mentally and strengthened her persistence and determination in approaching other difficult situations. Min will attend the New Jersey Medical School in the fall 2016 semester.
