Youth Mental Health First Aid Training for Faculty, Coaches and Advisers
As a part of the District’s Mental Health and Wellness Initiative, staff members including child study team members, nurses, coaches, club advisers and community members are being trained in Youth Mental Health First Aid. Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach people how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge, or is in crisis. Several full day training programs are being offered to reach this goal. The program was made available in large part by a grant opportunity through Newbridge Services.
