Director of Student Instructional Services
Dr. Michelle Papa
Dr. Michelle Papa serves as the Director of Student Instructional Services for Butler Public Schools where she is dedicated to ensuring that every student receives high-quality, equitable learning opportunities. With experience as a principal, assistant principal, interventionist, and ELA teacher, she is passionate about supporting teachers, students, and families through research-based practices that promote both academic growth and social and emotional well-being.
Dr. Papa earned an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Rowan University, M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Montclair State University, and BA in English from Old Dominion University. She is passionate about supporting students with disabilities, elevating student voice, promoting literacy across content areas, and ensuring students' social and emotional needs are met as she works collaboratively with staff to create inclusive and engaging learning environments. She is committed to fostering strong community partnerships, advancing innovative instructional strategies, and building systems that prepare students for lifelong success. Most of all, she is proud to be a Butler Bulldog!
