Mrs. Michelle Papa

I am sincerely honored and humbled to serve as the Principal of Richard Butler Middle School. Most recently, I have served as a high school assistant principal, and prior to that I was an English teacher at the middle and high school levels. I have earned a BA in English Secondary Education from Old Dominion University, MA in Educational Leadership from Montclair State University, and I am currently pursuing a Doctorate of Educational Leadership from Rowan University. I have presented workshops on the topics of using digital tools for formative assessment, community building in the virtual classroom, text-dependent questioning, state testing rubrics, and school security. I am a mother of two, and my husband is also an educator. I am truly passionate about  the amplification of student voice, healthy school culture, trauma informed education, and equity for all students. I am proud to serve the Butler community as we form partnerships that will ensure the academic, social, and emotional success of all of our students and continue to prove why “It Takes More to Be a Bulldog!”
