Welcome to the Department of Technology!
The mission of the Butler Public School District Technology Department is to provide appropriate technology devices to support all student learning. Technology integration is a part of the fabric of every life and as such, we provide technology tools that enable students, staff and administrators the ability to communicate, research and collaborate.
A partnership between schools and parents will prepare life-long learners who are responsible, successful citizens. In the areas of technology, Butler Public Schools provides hardware and support to most students and infuses digital citizenship and core computing skills in all grade levels.
Teachers work within the SAMR framework to deliver rich and engaging content to all students. The district has adopted several content based tools to support the development of content including Star 360, G Suite for Education, Albert.io, Nearpod and others.
Student privacy and safety are key elements of all decisions made regarding technology. Together with parents, administration, teachers and students we can all enjoy a rich educational experience using technology.
